“blend of 58% Syrah and 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 17 months in French oak (30% new), the 2023 The Spell reveals darker berries, currants, green tobacco, and cedar, with lots of Cabernet character emerging with air. Deep, inky purple-hued, medium to full-bodied, and structured, with ripe, building tannins, it will benefit from a few years of bottle age and keep through 2035. Drink 2027-2035.”
