Wine is sensitive to weather extremes – hot or cold weather may adversely affect the condition of your wine during shipment. LXV Wine is not responsible for, and will not replace wine that is damaged by extreme weather conditions during shipment. Once a shipping company (UPS, FedEx, GLS) picks up your wine from our fulfilment center, responsibility for the wine is the responsibility of the customer purchasing the wine.
Carrier fees may apply for changes made after we process your shipment.
Shipping is expensive and we cover ~50%. Returned shipments will incur full return and re-shipping costs charged by the carrier and restocking fees due to the quality control procedure we follow for returned shipments.
An adult signature is required by law. LXV cannot remove this requirement for any shipments that contain alcohol. Further, we cannot control which delivery drivers enforce or do not enforce this law. Hence, LXV will not be responsible if a local delivery driver leaves a package at your address without a signature.
Wine club members can make changes to their orders within the time period provided in the club emails and found on the Wine Club page on the LXV Wine website. Past the published date for each wine club shipment, any changes will result in additional costs – Carrier Address Change Fees, Restocking Fees & Re-shipping fees as per our shipping policy mentioned above.
Our shipping company packages 1000+ orders each day and puts them onto pallets. Those are then handed to UPS/Fedex/GLS etc. Hence, once the shipment is on a pallet they cannot find a single shipment and remove it
Once the carrier gets the packages, it could potentially be recalled for a full shipping fee. Hence, shipments marked SHIPPED cannot be picked up.
By law, we cannot accept returns of alcoholic beverages unless the product is corked, or flawed. We are also unable to accept return of wine that was damaged due to adverse weather conditions during shipment, or wine that is ordered in error.
Please contact us to arrange for the return of corked or flawed product. Once the wine is received we will refund your credit card account for the cost of the wine less shipping and handling.
