“Currants, spicy wood, leather, and dried herbs all emerge from the 2024 The Tempo, along with some classic Paso loamy earth and chalky minerality. It's a 50% Cabernet Franc and 50% Merlot blend aged 20 months in 42% new French oak barriques, and it brings some more classic Franc character on the palate, with medium to full-bodied richness, good freshness, fine tannins, and plenty of length on the finish. It's well done and a serious wine. Drink bottles over the coming 10-15 years, if not more, although there's no need to delay gratification. Drink 2026-2041.”
