Color:Deep garnet with a beautiful, vibrant red cassis hue
Nose:Fresh, vibrant, alive, verve. Cedar, cigar box, pipe tobacco. A garnet, beautiful red cassis — lots of concentration. Bright red raspberry, Chambord.
Palate:It's rare when a wine truly feels 'alive.' This wine has incredible verve and presence while still being youthful and light on its feet — a young virtuoso just starting to show their chops. Plays lithely but notably down the center of the tongue, slowly expanding to the sides, hitting the salivary glands and making the mouth water for more. Beautifully refined structure — small-grained and fully integrated. Structure to last, not to overpower. Also: with a direct and focused nose characteristic of classical Cabernet-Franc, featuring notes of currant buds and well-integrated oak. Fine-grained, mineral tannins frame the palate. More complex and promising for aging potential. Well-structured, offering length, complexity, and great potential for aging.
57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Cabernet Franc — the first release from the estate Armaa.N Vineyard, on rare California limestone. 96 pts.
