When we began LXV in Paso Robles, we entered an industry steeped in centuries of convention.

An Indian couple making Bordeaux-style blends in California?
Leading with Cabernet Franc?
Pairing wines with spices?

The polite advice was: “simplify”

Instead, we leaned into the language that felt true to us—spice, scent, memory, silence—and built a new way of listening to wine.
Because wine is more than terroir. It’s time. It’s tension. It’s tradition and departure, all in one glass.

This recognition is proof of what we’ve always believed:
Cultural clarity is a form of leadership
Depth can be more compelling than scale
Experience, when crafted with intention, is design in action
