Summer Satine is inspired by Alekhya, the KamaSutra art of Painting. The label features Carrie Graber, an oil painter from Palm Springs.
Pale yellow, with incredible clarity, this Viognier leaps from the glass with plenty of fresh fruit and spring florals. Made in a style that emphasizes the citrusy aspect of Viognier, the wine shows Meyer lemon and Clementine notes which complement the classic stone fruit and blossom aromas for which the variety is known.
Picked at peak ripeness with bright natural acidity, then barrel fermented for texture, Summer Satine has an incredibly long, full mouth with a balanced, apricot-like finish and a hint of juicy melon.Harvested on September 28, 2016, the Viognier was fermented in ten neutral French oak barriques and two stainless steel drums.
Aged on the lees in neutral French oak barriques and stainless steel drums for five months with lees stirring occurring every two weeks. After racking, the lot was allowed to age in the same vessels for an additional two months prior to bottling.
