Brilliantly powerful, yet soft and rich, this wine shows all the typical characteristics of Chenin blanc. Old vines lend concentration and depth to the aromas and flavors. On the nose, generous aromas of lemon cream, asian pear, and honey introduce more subtle characters of plumeria and yellow fruit. Flinty, mineral, and even a bit oily in the mouth, the palate reveals luscious citrus flavors and a chalky hint that carries the long finish to a striking crescendo.
Enjoy this wine on its own or with seafood, tagines, and grilled fare.
