Summer Satine is inspired by Alekhya, the KamaSutra art of Painting. The label features Carrie Graber, an oil painter from Palm Springs.
Pale yellow, with incredible clarity, this Viognier leaps from the glass with plenty of fresh fruit and spring florals. Made in a style that emphasizes the citrusy aspect of Viognier, the wine shows Meyer lemon and Clementine notes which complement the classic stone fruit and blossom aromas for which the variety is known.
Picked at peak ripeness with bright natural acidity, then barrel fermented for texture, Summer Satine has an incredibly long, full mouth with a balanced, apricot-like finish and a hint of juicy melon.
This winery is aimed at the sexy side of wine, and succeeds in this bottling, with restrained aromas of nectarine, gunmetal, flint and strawberry guava. Tart yellow-green flavors of apple, pear and citrus give an edge to the persistent tropicality, which wipes up with a light vanilla finish. Perfect for fish dishes.
Enjoy this beautiful summer wine with seafood and young cheeses, or explore how its liveliness complements even the creamiest of pasta dishes.
